RUMY is about finding people you’ll actually want to live with. That only works if everyone feels safe. By using RUMY you agree to these guidelines — and to a zero-tolerance approach to objectionable content and abusive behaviour.
No objectionable content or abuse
No harassment, hate speech, threats, nudity, or discriminatory behaviour. Treat every member with respect.
Report anything that’s not okay
Tap the shield on any profile or chat to report. Our safety team reviews every report within 24 hours and acts on violations — including removing content and ejecting users.
Block anyone, anytime
Blocking hides someone from your Discover, your matches, and your messages — instantly and confidentially, both ways.
Be real
Real photos, real you. Fake, impersonating, or misleading profiles are removed.
How moderation works
We use a mix of automated checks and human review. Reports are confidential — the person you report is never told who reported them. We act on credible reports within 24 hours and remove users who violate these guidelines. Repeat or severe violations result in a permanent ban.
Safety tips
Meet in public first, never send money or deposits before independently verifying a person and a property, and trust your instincts. RUMY is a matching platform, not a party to any tenancy — always do your own due diligence.
